Thank you to Gary Marco for all he does for the club. Gary stepped up this year to help with grass mowing and helping during the Marathon shoot.
Special recognition to John Listello who created a new training class for rifle safety, shooting, and scope accuracy. John held the first training session this month with great feedback. Be on the lookout for future training sessions.
On May 11th, the club held a Marathon shoot. This was on Mother’s Day, and the attendance was expected to be low. However, there were 31 entries with an average of 300 targets. Thank you to everyone who helped to organize, manage, and run the event. A couple of shout outs to Scott Wadlow, Stacy St. John, and Gary Marco.

What do John Philip Sousa, the Colt 1911, and thousands of hand-poured concrete blocks have in common? They all play a role in the rich legacy of trapshooting—and of our own club. With the new Trap Management system in place and many members now using it, new summer hours will be coming soon. From May 24th through September 27th, the club will be opening a few traps around 10am on Saturdays. The club will be closed during this time, so members will be required to have cards loaded and ammo available. We will continue to review options and adjust as necessary.
Anyone who fishes or walks the North Lake, please be aware of the new club shooting hours. There will be signs posted at trap 1 and trap 6 entrance to remind you not to be in those areas.
Our Annual Club Meeting is scheduled for June 28th. If you are interested in running for the board, please contact one of the board committee members or email us with your intent. We will provide board requirements at that time and get confirmation of your intent to run. All nominations must be in by May 31 to finalize the list. Any officer position requires a minimum of 1 year on board.
